To see some still photos - Click here I feel so proud to be part of compassionate community. I have been sharing so many posts about the devastation happening around me and I am so blessed to still have my family and my home. This community is showing incredible generosity. Several people lining up donating their time and vehicles and equipment to help total strangers just because. Schools and churches opening up their doors for evacuees. Ranches opening their barns and property to displaced animals. Animal control out there trying to reunite families and pets and saving wildlife whenever they can. Businesses offering free meals and donating water and food and masks. Random people donating anything and everything they can. Volunteers from all over here to help. It's REMARKABLE. Words can not express how thankful I am for the the Firefighters and first responders and ALL the public servants that we never hear about but that work HARD. The folks at CalTrans, the construction guys and equipment operators working countless hours trying to get this fire under control. The news crews coming from all over getting out there driving around providing visuals of areas evacuated so that we can be a little bit more informed. The home and car insurance reps ready to get claims started so folks can get their lives back that much quicker. Nurses and doctors working all through the night despite losing their own homes. ALL the men and woman in uniform helping to protect the streets and peoples homes from those bad seeds. Unfortunately there are always bad seeds....
This fire is far from over... and it will take years to recover. This whole area will be changed forever but I am proud to be part of a great community. #ShastaStrong #CarrFire #weareblessed
